WIFAG newspaper presses are individually configured to customer’s requirements from a modular system of press units and can be extended to meet future demands.
All the modules are extensively automated and are open for future extensions. The individual modules are autonomous units that are matched to each other and which contain all necessary systems, including the drive electronics and press controls. Comprehensive functional tests of the press modules at the factory ensure outstanding quality at delivery and short commissioning times on site.
WIFAG has extended its product family to fulfill even more customer’s requirements for higher productivity, flexibility and semi-commercial capabilities. WIFAG offers high-performance printing units in the 4/2, 6/2 and 4/1 configurations. In addition to blanket-to-blanket printing units, the range includes 9-cylinder satellites. The product family also comprises rollstands with up to 1.50m roll diameter and 2:5:5 and 2:7:7 folders.
New, automatic plate changing systems reduce the make-ready work. WIFAG has developed solutions for variable web widths, which are characterized by extensive automation. For semi-commercial applications, WIFAG is in a position to offer configurations with UV-setting or dryers.
Optimized start-up and production changeover sequences result in higher productivity and reduced waste. Automatic control systems for web tension, color register and cut-off register contribute to consistent print quality and reduce the work for operating the press. Maintenance and service of WIFAG presses are made easier by comprehensive remote maintenance functions. |
